On February 24th – Dragobete Day – SkyTower celebrates love by releasing 1000 biodegradable red balloons

The sixth edition of SkyLove Day is complemented by a SPRING celebration at SkyHub Events Centre!

Bucharest, February 23rd, 2026On February 24th, for Dragobete, SkyTower celebrates SkyLove Day, a unique love-themed event once again marked by the release of approximately 1,000 biodegradable red balloons from the esplanade in front of SkyTower.

Now in its sixth consecutive edition, SkyLove Day has become a cherished tradition at SkyTower, with the release of biodegradable balloons symbolizing a declaration of love and positive energy shared with the world. The biodegradable red balloons will be released from the esplanade in front of the tower at 12:30, offering participants a memorable moment filled with magic and joy.

The SkyLove Day project further supports SkyTower’s objective of positioning itself as a source of inspiration for the local community.

The 2026 edition of the SkyLove Day event will take place on Tuesday, February 24th, between 11:30 and 13:30 and it will feature a lobby activation where participants will be able to enjoy special sweet treats offered by the organizers, including cotton candy and freshly made fluffy doughnuts, as well as an exclusive 25% community discount at CAFELIER specialty coffee locations in the SkyTower lobby and on the esplanade.

On the same day, SkyTower also celebrates the arrival of SPRING by hosting, within its iconic SkyHub Events Centre, a pop-up market dedicated to authentic gifts for women. The Mărțișor – Spring Market brings together a carefully selected group of 14 Romanian creators showcasing artisanal craftsmanship, where visitors can discover elegant jewelry, artisanal perfumes, natural cosmetics, modern mărțișor accessories, long-lasting flowers, and unique pieces with personality – the perfect inspiration for meaningful spring gifts, all in one place.

The event will also feature a public photo competition. The most appreciated picture captured during the release of the balloons and shared on social media channels using the hashtags #SkyLoveDay, #SkyTowerBucharest  and #TheIconicSkyTower will receive a 500 RON voucher for two at NOR-Sky Casual Restaurant, located on the 36th floor of SkyTower.
