On December 7, 2013, 650 runners aged between 18 and 60 took part in the biggest running event in a tower block in Romania: SKYRUN, an event organized RPHI. 650 runners which Supporters and the media cheered the participants, who had to climb 680 stairs (with an altitude difference of 119 m) starting from the ground floor to reach the finish line on the 34th floor.
The fastest runner finished the race in 2 minutes and 55 seconds.
The organizers were happy to donate EUR 20,000 to the “HOSPICE Casa Sperantei” foundation for the completion of a palliative care center in Bucharest, a sum raised with the help of the SKYRUN event.
