After a 7-year pause, SkyTower Bucharest organises a special edition of the stair running competition called SKYRUN
The SkyRun2023 public competition is the third competition to be launched within the “SKY’S THE LIMIT” 2023 programme.
Bucharest, 12 September 2023 – SkyTower Building announces the official launch of the third 2023 public competition with prizes within the SKY’S THE LIMIT programme: the well-known SKYRUN sports competition is being organised in a special 2023 edition, on 11 November 2023.
The SkyRun2023 special edition is organised for a limited number of only 500 runners divided into 4 age categories for both male and female competitors. Any person over 18 years old who is passionate about sports challenges can register for one of the 2 registration categories: individual or corporate.
The SkyRun2023 competition consists of 35 floors, 700 stairs and an ascension of 122 metres.
This year, SkyTower donates all SkyRun2023 registration fees to the Climb Again Association cause, a non-profit organisation that operates indoor climbing centres where climbing therapy sessions are organised for children and teenagers with different types of disabilities.
SkyTower Bucharest previously organised three editions of SkyRun up to the 34 th floor of the tower, the most recent one in January 2016 when the charitable stair running competition gathered almost 900 runners. The record time of the last edition was 2 minutes, 55 seconds.
